By registering for the Reaper and Weep Challenge event, a pecan-eating contest, I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand this product contains pecans which are a tree nut, and Carolina Reaper chili powder. I have no known allergies to these or any other ingredients that may be present in the food and beverages served at this event. I am voluntarily participating in this charity event and assume all risks associated with attending, including but not limited to food allergies, foodborne illness, and any other injuries or damages that may occur. I hereby acknowledge that this contest will be videotaped, and authorize Hotchkiss Pecan Foods, Inc, the right and permission to copyright and/or publish, reproduce, or otherwise use my name, voice, and likeness in video, photographs, written materials, and audio-visual recordings related to The Reaper Challenge. I understand these materials may be used for both commercial and/or non-commercial purposes. I further agree that these materials may be shared with and used by any or all of the host craft breweries and by the North Carolina Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund, its chapters or sister organizations in other states. I hereby release, waive, and discharge Hotchkiss Pecan Foods, Inc., NC Firefighters' Burned Children Fund, your chosen contest venue, their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or in connection with my participation in this event.
